Some of the children have continued exploring how to make our T-Rex. This week, we discussed about dinosaur skin. They shared that some dinosaur skin was soft and some of it was rough. They also shared: "I don't know, cause I never touch one." The children used nature materials, which they found with Mr. Quimpo last Friday, to create a rough texture. The children were also interested to know the name of dinosaurs, so I used books and songs to introduce different kind of dinosaurs. Miss Jin and I are also learning with the children.
The children expressed their ideas about dinosaurs with different materials, such as using Lego and blocks to make a lake for dinosaurs to swim, they made a dinosaur jungle with blocks and washing dinosaurs.
During the Art lesson, Mr. Quimpo invited the children to use different materials to design a sign for our T-REX. We noticed the children recognized the letters, as well. Well done, Sr preschool.
The children expressed their ideas about dinosaurs with different materials, such as using Lego and blocks to make a lake for dinosaurs to swim, made a dinosaurs jungle with blocks. The children even made their own dinosaurs costumes to express what dinosaurs they want to be. We just had too much fun with the children this week.
The children have been excting in digging up the dinosaurs up from the sandbox and sand-pit at the playground. They enjoyed digging so much; therefore, to maintain their interest, we then made some ice dinosaurs for them to dig. It is a great opportunity for them to strengthen their fingers and hand muscles, which can develop thier writiting skill in the funture.
Mr. Smith came to viste and sang some songs with our Sr preschool. They all loved to sing with him.
To connect with the children interest and learning experience, we invited the children to find objects and took some photos that start with the "s" and "d" sounds. Please bring some objects that begin with those two sounds, in order to build up words bank for the children.
