We are exploring living things indoors and outdoors. The children are getting busy searching for minibeasts and giving the plants the water they need everyday. Busy week for the children as they prepare for Assembly this coming April 30. Each one is excited to showcase their talents in presenting what they are learning this week!

We started tuning in on Living Things by watching a video. The children re-enacted how a plant grows from a seed. Finding out what their needs are. We explored outside around the school and tried to identify as many living things that we can find. They found ants, people, flowers, trees and bugs! The whole school came together to have our photo taken for the yearbook. We also dedicated the time to remember the tragedy of Sewol with a brief solemn ceremony. Our annual Spring Farm trip gave everyone a chance to enjoy picking strawberries. Everyone came home with a box of sweet red strawberries.
The children came back with a lot of stories to share about the break. They made a picture of the things they did and shared them to their classmates. The book "1 2 3 Peas" made the children excited to count up to 14 and draw some peas of their own. We also had a chance to explore some applications with our Ipads. The children made some pictures using "Feltboard" and explored with "Emotions". The children got to have a post-Easter celebration with an Egg Hunt! The small chocolate eggs were not so small with the great searching skills of the children. It was wonderful to see how the children shared some extra eggs they found to their classmates!
Welcome Back!!! We hope you had a wonderful break. We will ask the children to share what they did on Spring Break!
