The children are all excited to find out how big they have grown. Everyone grew over an inch for the past 8 months! We are learning a lot about pet animals through the books we read everyday. The children drew and cut pet animals and put them together in a house to see how they can take care of them.
We had a wonderful time exploring living things underwater; sea creatures, water plants and how man utilize these to provide for our needs like food. The children had a grand time and would like to go back with their families. Here is the link of the Fisheries and Science Museum:
We went out to gather different parts of the plants that fell on the ground. As the children gathered them, they were able to name which part of the plant it was. We brought them back to the classroom and had the chance to sort the parts by make, color and size. Each pair in class had to agree on how to sort them and presented it to their classmates.
One Monday morning the children shared exciting activities with their friends. Exploring new ways to enjoy each others company and trying out fun-filled games. It was a perfect day to create memories together.
The children continue to take care of their plants. It has grown a lot and they are able to identify some parts like, leaves and roots. With this they are able to understand that people need plants. We made a table to identify the parts of the plant that we eat from the leaves, roots, to the fruits and vegetables it bears. This is the video we watched as the children became curious on how paper is made from plants/trees. Preschool did an awesome performance in their Assembly. They presented stories and sang songs, all about Living Things. I can see how proud their parents were as they delivered their lines. It was another great day to celebrate learning!
The children have started planting seeds last week. They are taking care of it by watering them regularly and letting the sun shine on it. They are monitoring their plants' growth everyday.
We are exploring living things indoors and outdoors. The children are getting busy searching for minibeasts and giving the plants the water they need everyday. Busy week for the children as they prepare for Assembly this coming April 30. Each one is excited to showcase their talents in presenting what they are learning this week!
