Some children presented their family trees this week! They were able to identify most of their family members and showed a lot of their extended families. They described some like "mommy's sissy" and "daddy's papa". A couple of children have their great grandmothers in the tree. They learned how big some families are and some are small families. Claudia came this week to share some music they sing back home in Germany. The children learned an action song pointing on different parts of their bodies. To finish up their musical activity, they played musical chair to the tune of another German music. It is a fun game that Clara's family play when they have gatherings. The children enjoyed it a lot! Jonathan, Saara and little Ella came to class to share some traditional celebration they have back in Sweden. He showed some photos of some events that happen as they have Swedish midsummer celebration. They made it more interesting by having the children make some head pieces that they wear during this celebration. It was a crafty fun day for the children!
