First day of Literacy week the children came in their pajamas and had a slumber of a day reading books, creating and presenting in class. Mr. Tony Wilson came to our school and gave the children a treat with a fun-filled storytelling time. The story was told while the children draw different items from his bag. They had a blast singing with him as he narrated his stories. Parents shared popular children's books in school as they read them in their native languages. The children enjoyed every story as they saw new characters and followed the stories through pictures. It was a Happy Halloween day for the children as they paraded and introduced their characters for the day. Each child was able to tell everyone who they were. Halloween treats greeted them as they finish each activity in every classroom in ELC. They watched Halloween videos, created Halloween crafts and used their "feely" hands in the "feely" boxes.
